As we head into the Fourth of July weekend and summer gets fully underway (albeit in a markedly different fashion), I’d like to share some reflections on a “safer at home” summer. One where travel takes a different form and reading is even more important. My thoughts on summer “travel” can be found in this earlier blog post. And my “safer at home” summer reading list is below.
A note about this reading list: These books include several of the ones that inspired me as I wrote Marching Toward Coverage plus others that I’ve read more recently, including some that relate to the racial injustice in our country. I gained new perspectives and inspiration from each of these books. Most are nonfiction but I threw in a few novels. I hope you enjoy them!
